As we wrap up 2022, we believe the time is ripe for new ways of evaluating success – on the global and national level, and in communities that steward wildlife. Without deeply understanding and supporting community well-being, conservation projects will fail to reverse the extinction crisis, secure environmental sustainability, and support social justice and human thriving.
At OneNature, we partner with international conservation organizations to bring a data-driven focus on human well-being and happiness to wildlife conservation efforts, leading to improved financial, programmatic, and community outcomes for their projects. This approach allows our partners to better support communities and wildlife. It can be used not just to support communities but can inform and encourage decision-makers to better understand the value and connection communities have to wildlife and nature to develop more socially just and sustainable policies.
We envision a future where all people, animals, and the planet exist in a state of well-being, happiness, and interconnection.
We had some thrilling successes this past year and are set up for an even better 2023! We are launching our first well-being baseline assessment with a partner in east Africa, developing new case studies on the benefits of spiritual and cultural connection to wildlife in community conservation, and convening experts in community well-being and conservation to harmonize approaches that increase social justice and sustainability.
Your contribution will have a tremendous impact, regardless of how much you are able to give. The OneNature Board will be matching every $100+ gift until the end of December.
We hope you will consider supporting OneNature so that we can continue to make a positive impact on the well-being of all.
