Our team brings together deep experience in conservation, sustainability, human-centered design, and behavioral science. With decades of global fieldwork, policy advocacy, and systems thinking between us, we are united by a shared commitment: to align sustainability with community wellbeing, and design solutions where both people and nature thrive.

Beth Allgood
Founder & Executive Director
Beth is an internationally recognized leader in aligning human wellbeing with conservation and climate goals. With more than 25 years working at the intersection of biodiversity and community development, she founded OneNature to help organizations reimagine sustainability through the lens of trust, equity, and lived experience.
Beth has led program and policy work at USAID, WWF, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (as U.S. Director), and The Nature Conservancy. She serves on three IUCN Commissions and advises a number of global organizations. Her work—featured by the Explorers Club as one of “Fifty People Changing the World”—has helped shape a new standard for how wellbeing is measured and integrated into environmental work.
What she brings: Visionary leadership, cross-sector strategy, and a mission to make global policy work for local people and ecosystems.

John Waugh
Director, Wellbeing, Biodiversity & Climate Initiatives
Sector Lead: Biodiversity & Climate
John brings deep expertise in sustainable finance, climate adaptation, and nature-based solutions to OneNature’s work across biodiversity and climate sectors. With decades of experience designing environmental programs across Africa and globally, he ensures that sustainability strategies are grounded in systemic thinking and community realities.
He has led UN-level delegations, managed multi-million dollar climate programs, and authored over 30 publications on environmental policy, ESG, and development. John specializes in benefit-sharing mechanisms, risk analysis, and climate-biodiversity frameworks that incorporate wellbeing data at every step.
What he brings: Strategic design for climate and biodiversity solutions, grounded in policy fluency, frontline insight and field experience.

Beatrice Goddard-Watts
Director Innovation & Sustainability
Beatrice leads OneNature’s engagement with private sector partners—from ESG and CSR teams to companies navigating complex community relationships. With a background in design thinking and innovation strategy, she helps businesses translate social risk into measurable opportunity and build regenerative practices from the inside out.
Previously a Senior Consultant at EY Seren in London, Bea helped public and private sector clients adapt to social and environmental shifts through inclusive design and systems transformation. She’s worked on business innovation in Rome and holds an MSc in Management with Innovation from the University of Bristol. At OneNature, she leads product development, training, and the shift toward a consulting-forward model that empowers ESG leaders to act on wellbeing insights.
What she brings: Creative, practical solutions that bridge business goals with long-term community trust and impact.

Dr. Michael Looker
Lead: Indigenous Partnerships, Sustainable Development, Asia Pacific Region
Dr. Michael Looker is a scientist by background with over 30 years experience in conservation program development and public open space management. He previously held roles with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) as – Director of TNC’s Australia program, where he partnered with local NGOs and Government on large-scale conservation initiatives and established a Corporate Conservation Council to forge a closer alliance between business and conservation. He also developed close working relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations supporting their aspirations in looking after country; Director of Regional Strategies, Infrastructure, where his main focus was on developments across the Asia Pacific, especially in the extractive industries, and implementation of TNC’s “Development by Design” which helps to guide sustainable development decision-making; Director of the Aotearoa New Zealand Program, a two-year assignment to establish one of the Conservancy’s newest country programs; and Senior Advisor to the “Conservation in Partnership with Indigenous Peoples & Local Communities” global program with a primary focus on sustainable financing for community led conservation programs. Prior to joining TNC, Michael served as the Director of Trust for Nature, Victoria. Under Michael’s leadership, the Trust acquired Ned’s Corner Station—the largest private conservation purchase in Victoria. He was previously a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Horticulture at The University of Melbourne, Burnley Campus, as well as Superintendent of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne.
What he brings: Decades of international leadership in conservation and land stewardship, with a focus on Indigenous partnership, sustainable development, and large-scale impact. Michael brings both scientific rigor and cultural sensitivity, helping OneNature and its partners deliver conservation rooted in community, collaboration, and long-term resilience.

Lorraine Flood

Lorraine Flood is a dedicated virtual assistant and online business manager at OneNature Institute, where she expertly handles financial management and the creation of newsletters, presentations, and other vital communications. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Lorraine combines her extensive corporate background with a well-being-focused approach to business support, ensuring a balance of efficiency and well-being in her work.
With a BSc in Property & Facilities Management from DIT Bolton Street, Dublin, and experience as an Executive Assistant in New York City, Lorraine has honed her skills in high-paced, dynamic environments. In 2022, she founded The Hummingbird Collective, offering a range of virtual assistant services, business setup, and mentoring, all underscored by a commitment to well-being.
As a solo mother by choice, Lorraine values flexibility and work-life balance, which she integrates into her professional ethos. Her work ethic and values perfectly align with those of OneNature, making her a perfect match to work with us. Her passion for well-being and dedication to her clients make her an invaluable member of the OneNature team.
